Getting to know Emily

Hi! I’m Emily Kappelman, a licensed acupuncturist, and health coach. I received my bachelor’s in Health Promotion – Wellness and Fitness and my master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I’ve been practicing for 5 years now and I’m so thankful for the many experiences I’ve had in this field. My true goal in life is to help each person I work with live their best quality of life, and achieve their health and wellness goals. Health coaching is a valuable addition to anyone’s life and with the right guide, you can make improvements every single day!

Health coaching is a method designed to help clients increase their quality of life. As a health coach, I can find the goals, motivations, and values of my clients, enabling me to get to the root cause of an issue/challenge/block that my clients may be having. From here, I can provide tangible action steps to help resolve the issue/challenge/block.

Who can benefit

Someone new to this approach may be thinking, “Oh, I know myself well enough and what I should do, so I don’t need a health coach.” But I suggest otherwise. Every person can benefit from seeing a health coach. Just as you trust the trained professionals with your hair, home repairs, and car, you should trust professionals with your health and wellness goals. Health coaches like myself are trained to assist you in all your health goals and provide necessary guidance and motivation.

A unique perspective

As a licensed acupuncturist at Feel Good Clinics, trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I have a different perspective and am looking at your holistic health differently than someone looking only from the western medicine perspective. Some of the theories we utilize at the clinic include yin/yang theory, 5 elements, body types, time of day, time of the year, and more. During our consultations, we talk about how these theories apply to each individual. This gives our patients an even greater, more comprehensive experience and can lead to some amazing results.
