FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

Do you accept insurance?

Many of our services are not covered by insurance companies. If you are receiving acupuncture, it may be covered depending on your out-of-network benefits and deductible status. Payment is due on the day of each visit, however we can provide you with an itemized superbill complete with codes necessary for submission to your health insurance for reimbursement. Please call the phone number on the back of your health insurance card for information on your out-of-network acupuncture coverage. We do not guarantee insurance coverage or reimbursement.

How many treatments will I need?

Acupuncture is a Process. It is very rare that a problem can be resolved in one treatment. With that in mind, we will create a treatment plan that is designed to address your body’s unique conditions and take the steps necessary to bring your body back into balance. We generally say that when the issue is more acute, it is likely that fewer treatments will be needed to see noticeable results. But if the issue is more chronic, it is likely that more treatments will be needed.

Generally, we consider 6 treatments as one session, which gives your body time to adjust to the treatment and see how you’re responding, Some people notice improvements right away, during and after the first treatment. Some people need regular, consecutive treatments to address the root issue. After your initial appointment,  your practitioner will be able to better guide you to the correct treatment plan.

What should I do to prepare for my treatment?

It is very rare that a problem can be resolved in one treatment. In China, a typical protocol for any chronic condition is acupuncture every other day for three months. Most of our patients don’t need that many treatments, but virtually everyone requires a course of treatment in order to get what they want from acupuncture.

Just as we are all unique beings, so are our treatments. There’s no one-size-fits-all treatment in functional medicine. The Feel Good Practitioners will always take an in-depth look at the bigger picture of your health before recommending a treatment.

Is it safe to take herbs and supplements with prescriptions?

Herbs and supplements can be a helpful complement to your wellness regimens, but we recommend you consult with your licensed acupuncturist or health care practitioner about any herbal formulas and supplements you’re considering using. At our clinic, we only prescribe herbs and supplements that are safe with your current prescriptions and explain to you the best time to take them.
